Le mois de décembre à peine entamé, voilà que débutent les premiers classements. Et quand on porte un nom aussi prestigieux que le Time et que sa base de données photo est l’une des plus riches du monde, forcément, les classements sont attendus. Voilà les dix clichés qui ont marqués l’année, avec légendes en VO. En espérant qu’aucun drame vienne rendre ce Top 10 caduc avant la fin de l’année.

Photographer, David Baz Jenkins, 41, spotted the near-death battle while on board a Great White shark tour boat off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa. As these amazing photographs show one seal escaped the jaws of death after balancing on the massive sharks nose just inches from rows and rows of razor sharp teeth. David, 41, from Dublin, Ireland, said The seals were making their way back to Seal Island after feeding out at sea and the sharks travel below them.

2013.  Humble, TX.  USA.  Bobby swims at a Motel 6 after visiting the father of Rodney McCandless. Rodney was killed in the IED explosion that injured Bobby.  For years McCandless's family didn't know that anyone had survived the attack until Bobby was able to reach them by Facebook.  It was their first meeting and Bobby wanted to pay his respects. Bobby Henline, 41, veteran of four tours to Iraq and sole survivor of an IED blast that killed the other four soldiers in his humvee in Iraq in 2007.  He is now a standup comedian launching a new career with a routine built around his injuries.  He received burns over 38% of his body in the blast.
